DOS SANTOS NOT INVINCIBLE

The Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC 146 fight card for the big Las Vegas event features a number of high profile Brazilians who are scheduled to take to the ring but none of them are bigger than the reigning UFC World Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos, who will defend his crown against former title holder at Strike Force Alistair Overeem in a match that is being billed as The Clash of the Heavyweight Titans.

Having joined the UFC in the summer of 2008, Dos Santos has seen it all, done it all, faced many tough challenges, passed through some, failed through some but one thing that he did do is give his heart out inside the ring and that is something that makes him a formidable opponent for anyone, who can never be sure of what to expect from the Brazilian. And that is what makes it extremely difficult to pin down and Overeem exactly knows what he is getting himself into.

Ever since he won the title in a title match against Cain Velasquez last November, it seems that the performance of Junior Dos Santos has gone up a notch and being already a tough challenge for anyone, he has become almost unbeatable over the last few months.

But that doesn’t mean he cannot be beaten and it has been shown in the past that he is vulnerable and Overeem would do well if he could manage a victory via a decision instead of going for the knock out or the pin. Another thing that is driving Junior Dos Santos is the prospect of a title match with Jon Jones, against whom he won the title when he was not fully and fit he would just want to face him again and beat him to prove that his win was no fluke.
